An average day in Gaborone with small activity in Sefalana ($165k), NAP ($165k) and Sechaba ($161k) the only counters worth mentioning.
The main highlight yet again in Kenya was some chunky crossing in Safcom (1.0%, KES25.00) on the back of active foreign selling. Elsewhere, we saw a couple of decent trades in the likes of EABL (unch, KES267.00) and EqBnk (unch, KES43.00). Foreign participation went up 60.3% compared to yesterday’s 57.9%.
Indices closed the session in positive territory today. The banking heavyweights MCBG (+.02%, Rs268) and SBMH (+0.5%, Rs7.86) accounted for 60.9% of turnover. NMH rose 0.9% to Rs22.30 on 32k shares traded.
Another positive day in Lagos with the financial and consumer sector closing 1.02% and 0.27% higher respectively. Massive crosses in Zenith (+1.95%, N23.50), Nestle (-0.02%, N1,220.00), Guaranty (-0.22%, N40.80), UBA (+1.28%, N9.50) and Wapco (-2.25%, N57.01).

The volumes were majorly driven by TBL today which closed at TZS13300 accounting for 98% of turnover. Small volumes traded in CRDB (TZS200) and DSE (TZS1420).
Decent trades in Econet ($205k) and Pearl ($318k) drove proceeding today accounting for 83% of the turnover. The rest of the market had very thin trades with buyers failing to match orders. The Industrial Index remained firm adding 2.81 points on the back of gains in BATZ, Delta, Econet, Old Mutual and Seedco.
