A rather dull start to the week on the BSE. The only action worth noting was some trading in FNBB (360t) while there was smalls in Primetime (260t) and Turnstar (200t).
A very active start to the week as total value traded amounted to $13.2m with foreigners dominating proceedings. The impressive rally in Safcom continued on the back of foreign demand with the telco gaining +1.4% on 36.77m shares. Foreign demand drove EQBNK (+1.0%) higher as there were a few crosses in the name. EABL also continues to rally on foreign deamnd as the brewer closed +2.2% higher on 163k shares. There was some action in the usually illiquid NMG as 152k shares traded.
A quiet start to the week in Mauritius. The bulk of the activity took place in SBMH (+98bps, Rs1.03) while MCBG closed down 50bps at Rs201.00. There was also a big fall in Ciel (-1.80%, Rs7.62) while Terra closed up 59bps at Rs34.00.
A rather average start to the week as turnover amounted to $23.9m with some action in the likes of GTB ($7.99m), FBNH ($1.63m), DangCem ($1.49m) and Nestle ($1.38m). Banks ended the day lower with the Index falling -0.36% thanks to some pressure on Zenith (-1.44%) and Access (-0.57%). Consumers (-0.79%) were also weak as PZ Cussons (-5.96%) and Guinness (-2.72%) dragged the sector lower.

A quiet day in Zimbabwe with action focused on Econet (65c) and Innscor (60c) while the rest of the market was extremely quiet.
