Nothing to report.
A quiet end to the week ahead of the long Easter break. Outside of some decent late crosses in Safcom (+30bps, KES16.90). There was also some mild action in Equity Bank (-60bps, KES40.75) and Centum (-60bps, KES45.00) while the rest of the market was dead.
It was another dull day in Port Louis with muted activity in all the heavyweights, with not much on the go in MCBG, SBMH or NMH.
A fairly active session for a change in Lagos with demand for both banks (+1.95%) and consumers (+1.67%) driving the index. Activity was also heavily driven by the banks with almost three-quarters of all activity going through in GTB (-49bps, N16.00) and Zenith (+3.67%, N13.00). In the consumers the only real action was in NB (+3.60%, N117.70) as it continues its relentless drive north.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Not a bad day (relatively speaking) to end the week ahead of the Easter weekend with some action in Delta ($599k) once again driving proceedings.
