A couple of nice crosses in Letshego (266t) and Sefalana (1330t) were the main highlights today in Gaborone.
A quiet end to a quiet week in Kenya. There really was nothing worth writing home about as no stocks even managed to trade more than $1m.
The only real action today was in the normally illiquid Rockcastle (+2.6%, Rs2.37). The usual names were eerily quiet.
A pathetic end to yet another pathetic week in Nigeria. As is the case for day after day the market just never got going. Banks closed higher by 85bps but the sector was really quiet. Consumers closed marginally in the green with just some crossing in NB (-21bps, N115.08) the only counter worth noting.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
The ZSE ended the week with yet another strong performance as interest returns to the bourse. The bulk of the action was once again focused on local trading in Natffods (208.43c) while Delta was also strong (72.96c).
