A little bit of activity in Letshego as 816k shares changed hands in the name the only action worth noting on a rather average day.
Some decent action in Nairobi today with foreign buying and local selling the most evident trends ahead of tomorrow’s KNCB results. The banks were by far the two most actively traded stocks. Equity Bank fell by 1.2% to KES39.75 thanks to a chunky cross (local seller, foreign buyer) while KNCB fell by 3.2% to KES39.25. There was also some two-way in Safcom (-60bps, KES17.25).
A rather uneventful day in Port Louis with nothing much to report on.
An active day with local buying the main story doing the rounds. Banks were pushed up a hefty 5.89% with most names closing at or close to limit up. There was some decent action in names like GTB (+3.81%, N20.97), Zenith (+10.07%, N16.51) and FBNH (+5.28%, N3.99). Consumers followed suit by gaining 3.29% although outside of NB (+5.0%, N133.99) the sector was quiet. DangCem also saw some action and closed at N177.00 (+4.11%).
